Shanah Tovah from All of Us at ROPES
A New Year Message from the Regional Organization for Peace, Economics, and Security
As the Jewish New Year — Rosh Hashanah — approaches, we at ROPES would like to extend our heartfelt wishes for a sweet, peaceful, and meaningful year ahead to all who celebrate, and to our friends and partners across the region and around the world.
Rosh Hashanah is a time of reflection and renewal — an opportunity to take stock of the year behind us and to look forward with hope and purpose. This year, we do so with heavy hearts and with urgent prayers.
We join millions in hoping for an end to the war in Gaza, and for the safe return of all hostages to their families. These hopes are not just political — they are deeply human. They reflect the values that guide our work at ROPES: the pursuit of peace, the protection of life, and the belief that dignity and security must be shared across communities.
The past year has brought unimaginable pain, loss, and division across our region. And yet, even in the darkest moments, we have seen examples of courage, compassion, and resilience — individuals and organizations working across borders and barriers to create understanding and promote healing.
As we enter the year 5786, we renew our commitment to that work. At ROPES, we will continue to build bridges through dialogue, elevate diverse voices, and support efforts for a just and lasting peace in our region.
May this new year bring healing where there is pain, wisdom where there is uncertainty, and hope where it is most needed.
Shanah Tovah U’Metukah — wishing you and your loved ones a happy, healthy, and sweet new year.
With warm regards,
The ROPES Team
