SharqTank is a new initiative by ROPES designed to foster entrepreneurship and strengthen economic ties across the Middle East. The “E” in ROPES stands for “Economics,” reflecting the organization’s belief that creating mutually beneficial economic partnerships between Israelis, Palestinians, and the broader region is essential to building an integrated, post-conflict Middle East.

The initiative will feature a series of online competitions where young entrepreneurs can pitch their startup ideas, followed by an in-person event in the Gulf in December. Beyond cash prizes for winning teams, the program will offer mentorship, networking opportunities, and direct access to entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders from across the region.
